untold times: eclectic, free

Mate of paper-jam, Craig has been in touch regarding a DJing extravaganza he is putting on at the trendy "Sip" bar in Leamington this coming Friday 25th Feb. "I doubt you will like it Jim, we won't be playing any fucking Morrissey," he quipped. Although deeply offended, I offered to publicise the soiree, entitled "Untold Times" on the off chance that there are some less sad people who visit this web site and may want to go out on Friday night to enjoy most of the following:

- Free entry
- An eclectic mix of classic house tracks
- A guaranteed lack of cheesiness
- The odd anthem or two
- Free naked lap dancers
- DJs Fusion and Craig Neilson

Sip (which is available for free private hire) is located at 56 Regent Street, Leamington Spa. It will all be happening from 7.30pm-11.30pm and as stated above entry is of the distinctly free variety. With a bit of luck this may become a regular event, keep your eyes peeled...

I demand a track listing in the comments. I want to know what classic but eclectic house music means.

This would persuade me to come down…
- Yello - Bostich
- ESG - Moody
- Loose Joints - Is it all over my face?
- Klein & MBO - Dirty talk

Thanks to Jim for the plug, and to Steve for his interest/comments/demands.

By eclectic and classic we’re talking about a retrospective of dance music from late 80’s to present, and a mixture of styles.

Given that this’ll be a bit of tester for possible future nights, we’ll probably not go too obscure on this occassion. It’ll hopefully be an evening for the nostalgic dance music lover. However, suggestions such as Steve’s will be welcomed and duly noted for possible future inclusion!

Although I’m not at liberty to divulge the track listing of my esteemed colleague, mine might, just might include:

Horse - Careful
Subliminal Cuts - Le Voie De Soleil
Raze - Break 4 Love
Underworld - Dark & Long

Of course, much depends on audience reaction, or indeed an audience at all!

Did we mention that it’s free??

Steve is a musical snob, he needs to get out more. Coventry is a 5 min drive to leam. the last time I saw you, was Jims birthday in 1999

... a 5 minute drive in your rocket propelled panzerkampfwagen maybe, but twenty minutes for the rest of us mortals. And there would be no drinking for me, which would be a shame.

I am a musical snob though, yes. I’m the last person that could fill a dancefloor, particularly in Leamington, so you should probably ignore me. Happy to hear it went well though, is this going to be a regular thing?
